Consultancy service
Policies, Procedures & Compliance
Policies only protect people when they are accurate, understood and followed. We write and review policies and procedures for your specific service, and help you build the compliance systems that sit behind them.
Bespoke, not boilerplate
Inspectors and commissioners can quickly tell when a policy has been downloaded and lightly edited. Generic documents often refer to the wrong regulations, describe processes the service does not follow or leave out what actually matters in your setting.
Every policy we write is developed from a conversation about your service: who you support, how you are staffed, the risks you manage and the systems you use. Where we use a standard structure for consistency, the content is written for you. We will always be clear about what is bespoke and what is not.
Policy areas we cover
- Safeguarding adults and children
- Safer recruitment
- Medication management
- Health and safety
- Infection prevention and control
- Complaints and whistleblowing
- Risk management
- Quality assurance
- Data protection and information governance
- Governance and operational procedures
Compliance consultancy
Alongside policy writing, we offer independent reviews of your current arrangements. This can include document reviews, audit of records and recruitment files, mock inspections and practical action plans. The aim is simple: to help you find and fix issues before an inspector, commissioner or framework assessor does.

FAQs
Policies & Compliance: common questions
How often should policies be reviewed?
At least annually as good practice, and whenever legislation, guidance or your service changes. We can provide a review schedule and update service.
Can you review our existing policies instead of writing new ones?
Yes. We can review your current documents, highlight gaps, outdated references and inconsistencies, and recommend or make the changes needed.
Do you carry out mock inspections?
Yes. We carry out inspection style reviews and provide honest written feedback with a practical action plan. A mock inspection is not a CQC or Ofsted inspection and does not result in a rating.
